Air Frying Salmon Fillets
Prep time: 5 mins. Cook time: 10 mins. Serves: 2.
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (approx. 150g each), skin on or off
- 10ml olive oil
- 3g salt
- 2g cracked black pepper
- 2g garlic powder
- 2g smoked paprika
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with a paper towel. This ensures the seasoning sticks and the surface crisps rather than steams.
Rub the olive oil over all sides of the fillets. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, then sprinkle evenly over the flesh side of the salmon.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
Cook: Place the fillets in the air fryer basket. If the skin is still on, place them skin-side down.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 63°C or flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the salmon from the basket and let it rest for 2 minutes. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges squeezed over the top.
